The SRA Reading Lab is a valuable resource for teachers in providing differentiated instruction during reading/language arts.

The programme meets the differing needs of students by providing multilevel learning materials in one classroom package. It is a complete system offering individualized reading instruction to all your students.

The reading materials and associated skills exercises in the Reading Lab are organized into a series of colour-designated difficulty levels that range both above and below the average for the target grade or age group.

Once the reading lab is selected, students will be placed in their appropriate level. The Student Record Book contains the Starting Level Guide. It is the device for determining the colour level at which each student should enter the Power Builder component. The Starting Level Guide also gives students a first taste of what it is like to read a Power Builder story and answer the associated questions. A Placement Chart in the Teacher's Handbook lets the teacher know which colour level to begin their student.
