Having a rep that is easily contactable and very happy to help and advise us has been invaluable. It has saved us hours in trawling through the internet and catalogues trying to find connecting resources or resources we could do this with. Thank you!

Extension Readers KS2

Great extension readers that are book banded from Pink to Magenta and fit neatly alongside the core reading books. These books enable pupils to reinforce skills they learn using the core readers.

The number of titles means that pupils who need extra practice need not be rushed on as all the books in a level have been completed.

This is a resource which encourages children to tell stories as well as to listen and read stories, thus helping to develop oral language skills. These extension readers also double up as wonderful take home resources.

  • Starter readers through to working towards Level 5C
  • A variety of text type and authors and illustrators give a breadth to this programme that ensures that all pupils can make progress.

Each book has teacher support which include for the first 10 levels:

  • Details on the content of the book, high frequency words, etc.
  • Guided reading notes.
  • Follow up activities; for whole class used on whiteboard or printed for small groups.
  • Hands-on activities for many titles .
  • Future sessions work.
  • Ongoing Observations.
  • Some titles have oral reading records to check if pupils are ready to go back to core readers.
